If your patient is having chest pain, (Your SAMPLE & OPQRST will determine possible cardiac history)
and is not allergic to aspirin
and doesn't have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding,
EMT-B NYS may administer four 81 mg. tablets of chewable aspirin, total 324 mg.
NOTE: Asthma is a contra-indication if severe. If patient has cardiac history, ask if patient normally takes aspirin. If uncertain, contact Med Control.
